    http://uk.eurosport.yahoo.com/13032011/58/premier-league-spurs-wear-space-age-shirts.html
The shirts contain a series of sensors which send second-by-second updates about the player's heart rate, core body temperature, breathing rate and acceleration.
That data is fed to the coaching team in the dugout, who can monitor each of the men on the pitch and make decisions about who should be replaced........ plans are afoot to share the information with broadcasters so that fans can see how individual players are faring, raising intriguing prospects such as being able to see a striker's heartbeat change as he approaches the ball to take a penalty.

    Shome fairly technical stuff..!

I wonder will Harry be wheeling and dealing these shirts to other clubs?

I'd love to see Berbatovs stats with one of those jerseys tbh :pac:

It's unlikely that we'll be allowed us this technology in matches, probably be limited to the training ground I'd say.

Surprising that it took all of 3 posts for someone to get in a completlely off-topic dig at Harry.

Surprising that someone else other than Harry considers wheeler deeler a dig tbh!

There are also matching shorts. They pick up the scent of the players' bottom and analyses the gas to tell what they have had to eat, whether they are likely to fart, or whether they had a load of Guinness and a kebab the night before and if they are likely to be a bit sluggish.

They are aimed at the astro league though.

Penalty!, I step up - no change in heartbeat

Move to Utd secured - no change in heartbeat

Training cancelled , extra hour in bed - chest explodes

If only refs could utilize 'Space Age' technology as well as having these 'Space Age' jerseys then we'd be laughing! :pac:

So are these even more technologically advanced then Man Utds jerseys that would go invisible when worn in the Dell (Picture below)?

Im still in awe of the reversable jerseys tbh

These are the shirts/vests they're talking about, they were worn at the NFL scouting combine last month for the first time. That little sensor at the front does all the work.

It'd be very interesting to see what the heartbeats are like as players step-up for penaltys, especially the slicks mdrfckrs like David Villa and Ibrahimovic.

I do not see them sharing that information with the TVs. Would show which players are more nervous at pens and which are less, also be able to know which ones are being wound up and likely to snap.

Could see this very easily be used against the players wearing it.

'Arry should have to wear one during the transfer window.

The Space Age was in the 1960s.

So they're getting shirts that are 50 years old?
