Hi, i wasnt sure were to ask this question, or even if its the right place! if not can you point me in the right direction?

I've recently had my old attic floored and the old hot-water tank replaced, new tank is fine, but the old one is the problem. I have no idea where or how to dispose of it, its about 50 years old and made from stainless steel, its currently gathering rust in my back garden and i'd liek to get rid of it, is there some cheap or free way of getting rid of this thing or do i have to cut it up and greenbin it over the next 6months or so?

Not really sure what dimensions it is but it would have been a standard issue for a 3 bedroom house back in the 50's

Any pointers or help would be great,

    Thanks,

    Dgn.

If its stainless steel it will be worth a few bob scrap, find your local scrap man and get him to make you an offer. :D

I'd say it's galvanized steel. Scrap guys will take it. Try leaving it in your front garden for a day! Worth less than a fiver!
