    Hey guys,

I've noticed the past day or two that my PC has started to become unresponsive/slow and basically freezes for about 5/10 mins before coming back to life.

It also takes about 5 mins to start.

I've worried that there could be a virus or something so could someone give me a few steps to resolve or identify what the problem could be?

Have you installed any new software in the last 2 days?

A new ati radeon driver update, but that was after I got a shockwave flash problem, which suggested to update my driver.

There is definitely some problem as it's becoming unresponsive all the time now...only the mouse can move around.

Start the pc in safe mode with networking (press f8 on startup) if you have malwarebytes installed update it and run a scan,if not http://majorgeeks.com/download.php?det=5756.If that dose not help try rolling back the ATI driver.
