Is there any particular reason why you want them new? Is it just so they function well?

I have a big bag of wired ps1 and ps2 controllers. I'd say a lot of them are in great condition.

If you need one give me a shout.

I bought a pair of these Logitech ones the other year: http://goo.gl/1q8RM

    Really comfortable.

I do remember reading on SRK about this godlike Chinese Dualshock 2 clone; but it was $10 for the pad --- and $35 to ship.

Yes. Most of the second hand ones seem to be quite dirty.

You know the part where the back and front of the controller come together? That part always seems to be filthy.

I had two used wired controllers and they were filthy so I had to clean them. I took them apart, cleaned them really well and then killed them when I was putting them back together. I had to use some force and I seem to have torn off a flimsy wire.

So that's why I was thinking of getting a new one.

If you have a clean controller that you could spare that would be great. I don't really have anything to trade though.

In addition to the first controller I listed, this another one I saw on ebay -

It looks quite similar to wireless one I have and they're quite nice. I don't know about the quality the though. I'm kind of surprised there aren't more new controllers on the bay, especially the official ones.

Do you have a Dualshock lying about?
I need one as my old school PS has only the original pad with it.
Kinda odd to be holding it after all these years of Dualshock offerings, it feels very light but still well designed.
Actually, seeing it there next to the Snes pad you can see the evolution of one into the other.
If you could bring it to the next beers that'd be great, assuming you have one to spare.

I am pretty sure there's one or two extra dual shocks in there that I don't need.

Unfortunately at the moment I have 6 crates stacked up on top of each other and the bottom one has all the controllers.

I'll have a look through it when I get a chance and will let you guys know what's in there.
