Apple TV accounts problem

    Hello all,

My friend here in France has just bought apple tv. She set it up and can sucessfully stream her iTunes from her US iMac to her French apple tv.

However this is quite random and when she tries to sync her US iTunes account to her French apple tv it says that she can't because she is using a US account.

Does anyone know how she can get around this? I reccomended that she jailbreak it but from the research I have done I'm not entirely sure if that would solve the problem.

If she did jailbreak it, am I right in saying that she could use the XMBC (along with a VPN) to watch streaming from all the US networks as well as being able to subscribe to Netflix?

Any help would be greatly appreciated (and apologies if this has already been discussed elsewhere)

She already tried that and the same error message came up. Is she doing something wrong?

are the price of films in dollars or Euros??

if they are in dollars she has her setting's correct and is her US dollars itunes account should work

if they are in euros she has her Apple TV is still set to France, this will not tie in with a US dollars account.

What does she mean by sync the apple tv? It doesn't need syncing. Also apple tv will work with a VPN router €60 if she wants to watch US content in France.

I think she means that she can choose via her iTunes the songs she wants to play from her Mac, but when she wants to make it so that she can browse her iTunes from her TV it throws up that error message.

This VPN router you speak of got anymore info on that? Would jailbreaking solve any of this or is it not worth the hassle?

(Thanks a million for all your help so far! :))
