Looking at the following laptop for a friend. Seems like a good spec for the money. Anyone have any thoughts on it?
She gave me no set price range, just whatever i think was good, so aimng for sub 500.

that looks very good for the price and the reviews seem encouraging. Am in the market for a new laptop myself and this is very tempting although I was looking for a smaller screen. Reviews say it's lightweight though which may counteract any qualms I had in that regard. Will wait for other opinions before moving I think...

Looking at it, only thing that troubles me is

    DVD optical drives: Dual layer

That has to be some form of dvd writer doesnt it? Dont think anything comes with a bog standard dvd drive these days does it?

I'd buy it if i was in the market for a new laptop sub 500 quid.

It has to be a dvd writer. I'd be incredibly surprised if it wasn't.

Bought this at the weekend, very good laptop and light aswell.

Seemed to be the best around that price range in argos.

And yes it has a dvd-rewriter.
