    Hey guys ,

I am a biology student currently studying in NUIM and I'm looking for a summer internship . The college have 3 spaces for interns this summer however the competition will be tough to secure a place. I'm wondering do any of you know anywhere I could look for a summer job / internship . Preferably in North Kildare / Dublin .

    Thanks :)

Check out the UREKA programmes in some of the universities about the country. Competition is tough for them too, but worth trying.
Also, worth approaching some laboratories, I had luck mailshotting half the golden pages two years ago. got a parttime job eventually.
Unfortunatley, professional laboratories arent always willing to take people on, so you will have to try a LOT of places before you get a response.
It's also worth offering to do two/three days a week for free in an interesting lab in your college. Paid work is harder and harder to find.

Yeah I believe theres a UREKA programme too, haven't been informed of it yet though . Huh never thought of looking through the golden pages ... I know what I'm doing later ! :D

I think I shall ask about volunteering to work in a lab , I'd say the college would jump at the opportunity .

Thanks very much for your help :)

google ureka. i know there's one in dcu at least. theres fewer places for ureka students in their own college than in other institutes, it's part of the requirements that come with the funding.
