4-5 weeks training between Marathons

Looking for a bit of advice folks. I completed Barcelona Marathon a week ago and i have the London Marathon coming up on 17th April. I am not sure what sort of training to follow in between, in particular on the LSR's. Should i look at completing the last 4/5 weeks of a marathon plan or should i still have the endurance built up that i should be focussing on improving my pace to have a right go at another pb? Any suggestions are welcome.
    Cheers
    JB

In my opinion, the first two weeks should be about recovery and slowly building up the mileage again, and the last two weeks should be about tapering. The important thing is to remain injury free.

In the middle week, perhaps do an 18 mile run. Otherwise focus on quality without quantity, particularly if you're planning to try and PB again.

Pfitziger and Douglas have a training plan for a 4 week gap between marathons - if you go to their book on Amazon, choose Look Inside, and search for Multiple Marathons.

    That's my problem :(

Still hoping I can make the startline in Connemara, but it looks unlikely.

Cheers KC i had been thinking along those lines albeit a slightly shorter taper period (similiar to Barca) due to ongoing IM training.

Knowing your own circumstances (i.e. virtually bulletproof) you'd probably be best builiding up to 20-22 miler a fortnight before London, then tapering off.

Ive done loads 5 and 6 weeks apart. Id go with a mixture of advise. Krustys advise of 2 weeks easy then build up in the middle week and then taper is sound but i personally would do more than 18 in the middle week as a lsr. As meno said 20 if not a little more. To be honest mate listen to your body, if you need rest then rest if you feel ok do a bit more.

Dependant on how i feel i may do the following and possibly drop one if the body tells me to.
    w/c14/03 - 18 mile
    w/c 21/03 - 22 mile
    w/c 28/03 - 16 mile
    w/c 04/04 - 10 mile/start to taper midweek
    w/c 11/04 - Taper
