    What kind of fuel consumption would i be looking at?
    Price of tax (2L) ?
    Worth a swap for what i have in my ad?

    Have to agree, I have a 2006 RX and I love it but if you're driving a 01 BMW I definitely wouldn't take a step down in year.
    The performance difference would be negligible, you'd have heavier fuel bills and much "cheaper" interior.

    If you were thinking of a moving to a 04+ Rx then maybe but definitely wouldn't take the step back in year, you won't benefit in any way

    Don't see any advantage of moving from one to the other to be honest. Running costs would be similar at best.
