Rapid recovery hot water cylinder

    Hi, would anyone know what size rapid recovery hot water cylinder would be needed to run continous showers for 5 people, there could be two power showers running off it at same time. I need to get a new cylinder installed and have been given conflicting advice, one plumber recommends a 42 x 18 and another plumber recommends a 60 x 18.

    i presume you are using a twin coil linked setup from a ch boiler?

    don't know the flow rates but for the sake of a few extra euro i can't see the harm in going for the bigger one, if it fits in the space.

    some folks like to spend an inordinate amount of time in the shower.;)

    Continous showers... How many female...Reason i ask is adverage women spends 15min in shower. Adverage man. 5min.

    For my money no cylinder will do it. Triton T90 and a heavy electricty bill is your only way to go.

    why not a stainless steel cylinder. i done it at home , used a solar cyl and used both coils on c.h. cyl only loses 1degree c in 24hrs. i heat the water at night time for 1 hour and it does the whole family all day. its a 250l cyl and doesnt get completely heated in the hour , so if you heated it for 3-4hrs at night and then maintained temp during use you might be ok.
