Looking for some information on braces 2nd time round.

About a year ago I finished my treatment with the Orthodontist after nearly 5 years.

My teeth turned out great (to me anyway) but I haven't being able to ware the clear see-through retainer that was giving to me after I got my train-track's off. Basically I've never being fond at all with removable retainers and always hated waring them in my mouth.

I've noticed lately that my right had side lateral incisor and canine on the top have slowly moved out of place ( not by much ). When I try to put my retainer which still fits on, though not the way when I first got it my teeth at the front become very painful.

My question is should I look at going back to braces (fork out a lot of money which I don't have) or should I try to go back to my retainer and bare with the pain ?

If I did have to go with the braces again I would have to wait a few years to gather the money :(

    Hi

sorry to hear you are having problems. I cannot really say what the best thing to do is because I cannot see how much tooth movement is needed.

I would suggest you go back to your orthodontist and discuss it, if it is only a small ammount of relapse then it is very unlikely you would be charged a full fee again

Thanks for the reply day dreamer.

Going back to my orthodontist isn't really an option as my treatment was with the HSE. On my last appointment I signed a form that meant I was finished and was no longer the problem of the HSE.

    Quick question.

Would it cost much to get braces put back on me for a short while until my teeth straighten back out ?
