Watching the WGC and have to say how head wrecking it must be for players when you play a bad hole, or a bad shot and the crowd clap as if it was a hole in one. Thomas Bjorn looked liked he was fit to kill at one stage there. Must be extremely annoying...

Id say they are used to it by now but ya it must get to them the odd time.
Like when Mickelson 4 putted a green yesterday and they still managed to give him a clap.
Although it may have been more of a sympathetic clap than anything else. :p

not as annoying i'd say as the idiots who shout "get in the hole"..... really annoys me

It's not just the pros. Nothing worse than being paired up with an excitable higher handicapper in the monthly medal or whatever and anything that's not scuffed along the ground is greeted with an 'aaaaah great shot'. It's understandable to a point, but can get more than a little infuriating.

+ 1 but what annoys me most is when they say "great shot" when they never even look at your shots and the ball could be gone miles off-line...that wrecks my head
