Painting Range Rover grill

The grill on my (new to me) RR p38 was very badly faded, and was bugging me, I had tried a few back to black type products. Nothing really improved it though.

So I decided today, to spray paint the grill, while I did a service on the car.
The grill is easy to remove, 4 screws just under the bonnet, and 2 under the last vane of the grill beside each headlight.

I masked up the Land Rover badge and the painted trim part. I left the parts under the headlight on and sprayed them on the car.

The satin black may not be to everyones taste, but I think it looks okay certainly better than it did before.

Nice job. That's a nice looking P38, never used to like them but growing on me now.

Did the bumpers and plastic trim in satin black on my father's van but didn't bother with primer (it was a quick job to get him off my back ) and it still looks good six months later.

Nice work . I did all that 4 years ago on my defender but did not prim it either and it has faded again. The landrover badge on the grill clips off so no need to mask it up. Belive it or not peanut butter is better than any back to black product .

    Good lord.

O.A.P, I thought you were having a laugh about the peanut butter.
It actually works really well, I tried it on the faded plastic door handles, it brought them up like new.:)
    Nice one.
