    Hey Guys just would appreciate any help with a question

    i was let go from my job in march of last year and had 8 week notice (so it was may when i officially went on welfare) ive been recieving jobseekers benifit since, i recieved a letter the other day saying its nearly run out and im to be means tested just wondering how soon would i need to have this letter back into the social welfare office or will i keep getting jobseekers at least through april/may before im officially means tested (like do the payments last a year exactly i worked for 10 years previously before i lost my job)

    sorry if this is a wierd question any help would be appreciated

    Get it back in asap so that your means test can be done and that there will be no interruption to your payment. If there is going to be an interruption you can apply to your community welfare officer for supplementary welfare allowance until you jobseekers allowance is sorted that is assuming you will qualify for JSA

    You will keep getting your JSB until it is exhausted but means test for JSA could take a while.
