orb ps3 controller

    anyone have one? i got one free with my ps3 when i bought it ages ago. only tried to get it working the other day and i can get it to connect... :mad:

    i read that some of the updates on the ps3 can stop them working.. anyone heard anything like that?

    We did.
    We discussed it and some of us didn't like what Sony did and some of us didn't care.
    Licensed controllers will work, unlicensed controllers will not.

    great! thanks xrtavixion for giving me a controller that dose not work!! no wonder it was free ha! wonder will they take it back on trade in lol

    It probably did work when you bought it, but then Sony did the update that rendered them useless.

    maybe so.. its a pain do.. second controller would only be used once a week when the nephew is out... dont want to have to hand out big money for that..

    i seen some in the argos book.. would it be the same story with all third party controllers??
    they could hardly get away with selling them if they were not working could they?

    I wouldn't think so.
    If it's licensed it should work.

    From what I've seen the "dongle" type controllers (the one where you have a little usb device in) still work , the argos ones might be one of these type?

    the orb one i have has the usb dongle that plugs into the ps3 but i still cant get it to connect
