i recently fit a faulty altenator to a 03 c2 and it went up in smoke. i got another one and its charging fine but now the interior light wont work and the boot wont open. All fuses are good. is there any connection between these two.

id give the fuses another try there shud be two sets of fuses interior ones under the dash nd 2nd set under the bonnet worth a try

In the interior fuse box in the c2 the is a "shunt" fuse its for pre delivery its to stop electric components that dont need to be working when car is in compounds and deleivery yards etc check if thats blown its a green fuse with a silver band its totally different to a normal fuse
Also the main fuse box is also the BSI aka the brain of the car working in coordination with the ecu there is a chance that could be damaged by the faulty altenator,a diagnostic check would be nesscessary for this
