has anybody else noticed the amount of pajeros, landcruiser etc relative to vans on donedeal lately? comercials mostly??

any idea as to why? im presuming the cost of diesel?

or is there a tax hike coming up from the comercial rate of e288 a year?

im thinking of getting a landcruiser 98 to 03 or pajero . around the 4.5k to 6.5k range.

curently driving a 04 mk4 tdi golf. i do roughly 400 miles a week. what would the increase in running costs be?

They were probably driven by those who were involved in the building industry and no longer have work or have since changed careers. Big, thirsty SUVs are also no longer in fashion anymore since the Celtic Tiger choked.

Ehh sorry you see it that way but if you take the time to read around you will see that whenever anybody asks where's the best place to sell the most common answer is DONEDEAL !

Nice to see some are so ungrateful around here !

Also, it may be that people are afraid that the whole commercial/private motor tax thing may be enforced and are trying to get ahead of the issue.

All commercial 4x4s are horrible cars? That's why people are selling them?

Talk sense or don't bother posting tbh. This is rubbish.

They're all horrible, with no backup to your opinion and no desire to help the OP answer his question in any meaningful way, isn't a valuable opinion in my view.

    Whatever....

Ive a mate that works in construction and drives a Landcruiser. Up to a year ago he filled up the tank from a bowser on site but that perk is gone now and he has to pay for his own diesel. After the recent price hikes he was moaning about his mpg, high twenties only i believe, and what it was costing.

That reality has hit home for many people so id say thats why many 4x4s are for sale. During the boom everybody drove one but that day is gone. Every day on boards now theres another thread about fuel prices or economical cars
