Lost Wallet

Hey folks, I rather stupidly managed to lose my wallet last night, aside from my collection of cards which need to be cancelled tomorrow, it also contained my student travelcard and a monthly rail only student ticket. What I need to know is can I get those replaced or am I going to find myself further out of pocket as a result of my stupidity?

    Thanks :(

You should possibly check if the wallet has been handed in the nearest garda station to where it was lost. My son was pick-pocketed in Dublin city centre some months ago, and, the wallet was posted out to him a week later by the gardai - fair dues to them !!! Apart from the cash whoever nicked it wasn't interested in all the other stuff - bank cards, licence and travel tickets. Possibly pay as you go, travel wise for a week or so and see if it turns up. Cancel bank cards immediately - they usually have a 24 hr phone service.

Thanks, just gave the cab firm I used last night a quick call there, I'm nearly certain I may have misplaced it in the cab.

Most cab drivers who work Saturday nights also work Sunday nights, so check back with them tonight to see if it has turned up. A driver may have found it but as they carry a lot of people at the weekends, they usually would not be able to connect a found item to a particular passenger. Good luck with it !!!

Yeah, I'm hoping that the driver would have handed it into the base, fingers crossed
