Once in a while the missus asks me for feedback on what she is wearing for the day - does this suit her, does this go with this etc and I have always truthfully and honestly answered that she looks great, everything matches etc. which it always has.

Most times this has been met with, you're only saying that, do you really mean it, I'd prefer if you told me the truth and other similar responses.

So this morning for the first time in memory what she had on wasn't very flattering. By no means was it hideous or ugly but it didn't meet her ususal high standards. So when the question came I truthfully and honestly answered it.

Big mistake ! Off she goes in a huff comes, back down the stairs changed into something spectacular and when I go to tell her how well she looks got told she didn't need my opinion

Now I am married nearly 10 years and this was indeed a schoolboy error. :pac: but it does seem you're better off lying.
