    Not only is he Irish, his parents abandoned him at birth and despite growing up in an orphanage in the middle of Asia he grew up with an Irish accent.

    That's some hardcore Irishness right there.

    Now that was a film

    In the book of the shawshank, Red is Irish. In the movie they left that line in for a joke after morgan pushed for the part. In fairness it is hard to imagine anyone else in the part now. Even in the play they used yer man out of the wire.


    Did you know that in far and away Tom Cruise was supposed to be Irish also?
