It's called iSwifter and is categorized under "games". It has a little rocket picture as its icon...and it is free!It says it will ask you for a donation to the Japan rescue appeal after a minutes usage but it didn't ask me. It also gives full access to non mobile youtube!

Its played everything I've tried so far with it, it isn't stellar quality but it's watchable and it beats what we have had to date! My wifi is flakey at the best of times so it might be better on someone elses.

    Thanks. It works.

Some of the rte player content appears as location restricted the first time you try it.

That's because they render the flash on their own servers before sending it to your device. As far as I know they are located in the US!

Great for Hulu, means you don't need a VPN.

When you say that it was restricted the first time you try do you mean that it was unrestricted on later attempts?
It wasn't for me. Its rte player international I'm getting so there's a very limited selection really...no content not made by rte eg.no Home and Away or Greys Anatomy.

In better news every US network site I've tried has worked a charm for watching shows ,some reasonable quality and one or two were excellent quality. They're all very watchable though and much better in terms of quality and buffering than the dedicated iPad abc player.

Incidentally a UK VPN will not allow you watch UK sites like 4od or BBC player. It's a pity as 4od would've been nice.

Oh and it offered me an option to buy the full version for 79c. Nothing new in it,it's exactly the same browser. Its worth a lot more than 79c to me however and money goes to the Japan appeal so I couldn't resent it.

Yes, first time i tried the late late show which didn't work but then worked when I clicked again.

It says international on the browser.

Brilliant app, about a million times better than skyfire. The only issue I found with it is that the sound disappears now and again. Price has gone up to €2.39.

Any chance this will be made available for the ipod touch?

Good lord. I have had this app for ages but clearly, I never fully realised its possibilities.

Note that TG4 is now available live as well as their player.

Just tried LogMeIn web access and it works too. It's a bit slow and probably no where near as slick as the official app but it works enough to stop me from shelling out!

Switch to Teamviewer. Works a treat and is free.
