There was one down-stairs in the Eyre Square shopping center, closed now for some time I think. PC World and Curry's carry Apple stuff.

    www.galmac.ie on Tuam Road
    and
www.screenway.ie near the University (I think).

I find Galmac to be excellent. I have never been to Screenway.

It was just a 3G Store. They were an "authorised Apple reseller". Every time I see that it sounds so pretentious

PC World have a mini Mac genius bar in-store, having asked them anything but it doesn't look to great, still might be worth a look!

Would Galmac do Macbook case repairs do you know?

I have the crack that has been known to appear on the 13" Macbooks...

They would, went to GalMac myself after a friend spilled a can over my new mac last year during Race Week, they were grand to me, kept ringing me to tell me the story with my Mac, have heard good things about Screenway though

I've had trouble with Galmac on numerous occasions - shoddy repairs, bad customer service and unqualified/untrained people working.

    Ditto that.

non-unibody MBP - wasn't put back together properly, there's still a 1mm gap all around the front. I lodged a complaint through apple's feedback of authorised resellers/repairers but....

N-U MBP - two screws missing from the base and cd/dvd drive opening bent into a smile...so my feedback had no effect.

It's safe to say I will never use them again, I will never recommend them to anybody

There are no Apple Stores in the Republic of Ireland -just resellers.

How much research is necessary to find where you can get an iPhone 5?

In a phone shop or from store.apple.com/ie delivered to your door.

Culabula why don't you just close the thread. Poster is obviously not getting it that you don't reopen year old threads.
