Blunt fringe to side fringe!

    Hi Guys,

Just wondering waht boardsies opinions are on fringes?
    Do you like them?

I have a blunt fringe at the moment but have been getting sick of it and started growing it out. It's now too long to wear as a blunt fringe as it falls into my eyes but it's not long enough to wear to the side so I just pin it up as a quiff!

I'm thinking of getting cut again into a blunt straight across fringe but am also tempted to turn it into a side fringe. Or I could just grow it out completely!

So, do you guys like fringes and if so what kind?

I have a small heart shaped face if that helps;)
    Thanks

I personally prefer side fringes, I think blunt fringes can take over your face.

I have the same shape face as you OP and I have a side fringe similar to this pic:

I prefer it to a full/blunt fringe. It's easier to manage and if I have a day where I don't want my fringe down it's still long enough to be tied/clipped back.

    Different strokes for different folks.

I go between a side fringe and a blunt fringe every 8 months or so. The side fringe isn't as flattering on me as I thought it was, it makes me face look much wider than it is. The blunt fringe is just too hot in warm weather and frankly, too much hassle for me to style.

I recently decided to see what splitting my fringe and hair down the middle would look like and quite like it. Because I had a fringe it was hard to just split it down the middle, so now I have two side fringes, almost, if that makes any sense.

I've attached a pic to give you an idea what I mean. I think it looks much better on me than either the blunt fringe or a side fringe, why not try something completely new and see if you like it :)

I have quite a high forehead so I think I need a fringe to hide it! I alternate between a blunt fringe and side. Personally, I love blunt fringes. I think they're really edgy. However, my hair grows pretty quickly so 3 weeks is the max I get out of a fringe before I have to start pushing it to the side. If I were you, I'd ask a hairdresser for an opinion on what'd best suit your face shape.

I used have a side fringe, but my hair wasn't really thick enough to pull it off. My hairdresser suggested a full fringe about 9 months ago and I've never looked back. Strangers on the street compliment me about it! I'd say if your hair is anyway thin, to be careful with a side fringe. Mine was incapable to retaining its shape.

I would've thought with a heart shaped face no fringe at all would be most flattering? But then I always thought girls with a heart shaped face were so pretty!

I'd have an oval shaped face, and I think a blunt fringe makes me look like a 12 year old :o You could always ask your hairdresser to cut your fringe in such a way that you can push it to the side, or pull it across to a long full fringe. I had mine like that recently, loved having the option to change it but its very quick to grow too long to wear it as a full fringe, so requires trimming often.

A friend of mine has a full fringe which is like a side fringe on one side, sort of longer and graduated compared to the rest of the fringe. It sounds weird but it's actually really nice, and she can switch between the two!
