what exactly are you trying to do?

teach your mum to drive, or sell the ka?

    I'm lost
Are you wondering how to sell the car?

Samaritans may be worth a call otherwise

Sell the Car -- I cant get her to pass the theory test therefore i cant get her on the road

put it on donedeal at a decent price with good interior/ exterior/ engine photos, be honest about condition and circumstance and use good english/ grammar in the advert and it shouldn't hang around too long.

Have you been trying to teach her by shouting at her when she gets the answer wrong? Its generally very effective

if she can walk in off the street and count out cash for a 07 ford ka, she must surely have a few bob more lying around for professional lessons?

    It was a joke.

How has she been trying to learn? I'm a teacher so maybe I could be able to give some advice (I'm not claiming to be a good teacher :p )

Buy the book and the cd and do the practise tests endlessly.

If she then cannot manage the theory test after a number of weeks going through it, she should not be driving.

If she does pass it, get professional instruction for her and leave her to it. You certainly cannot sell the car from under her.

You need to take the pressure of her and sit down and help her go through it.

Explain the whys and hows of any questions she has about the subjects being tests with clear and proper reasoning otherwise she will get confused and won't understand why she needs to know certain aspects.

It may be worth asking for an instructor to actually go through the theory test with her as a good one should be able to put her at ease with the informations being tested.

Most of all she needs a study structure, 10-15mins a day on a certain topic and lots of encouragement.

Don't put her down, threaten to sell the car, give her bull**** or unclear answers to any questions she has.

She believes she cannot pass it now and its up to those around her to build her confidence and show her otherwise.

Is she used to using a computer btw? The test is computer based and if she isn't computer literate it will add extra pressure to her so be aware of that also

    Condescend much ?

If she has enough gumption to walk in off the street and buy a car, she has enough gumption to pass the bloomin' test too.

She might need a different instructor though :D

    All thanks for the advice

So lets stay on track of selling the motor and bear in mind Theres nobody abusing my mother {She would whack you one } As some commentators here are getting at

As to the point of different instruction thats solely up to herself as ive pointed out to her i will help her with in reason and availability

    Regards
