If it's never been owned by an undertaker or dead body transporter (whatever the phrase is, no offence meant)

Apart from the back seats being removed and a black box put in their place, it looks like a normal 5 series estate.

I presume re-fitting the rear seats is going to have tax implications? If so, it's horribly over-priced.

When someone dies/body discovered, it's not your usual funeral hearse that comes to pick up the body, it'll either be an ambulance or a funeral car, this is usually a dark transit van but I have seen some estate cars do the same role. Would be fun to get stopped by the tax people with it though!

Yeah, it stuck me as dodge too, and overpriced.

No chance to use it legally.

    According to this: http://www.irishstatutebook.ie/2008/en/act/pub/0024/print.html
    6. Vehicles other than those charged with duty under the foregoing provisions of this Part of this Schedule:

    (a) any vehicle which is used as a hearse and for no other purpose,

    €88

Vehicles can be taxed as hearse only if they are used solely for hearse purposes.
