Usual overpriced tat, an 87-93 Daimler second car on the left inside the main door being passed off as a 1980 car for starters which was sent out after about an hour. A couple of Escorts, Austin 1100's in various guises. There wasn't one car there that i'd even consider tbh and certainly not at the prices being asked. Oh, and about a ton of scrap metal being sold as "spares". I wasted six hours of my life getting to and from this "show", a complete and utter waste of time!!

Went and had a look alright, not worth it to be honest. Some well turned out capris,a nice mk1 xr2 and mint 78 mini stood out for me.But stalls weren't great, lots of odd rusty bits, was expecting more.

The Moynalty show in August usually has a fairly good autojumble.

The autojumble in Durrow is quite good.

    Pre 1970 vehicles only!

pre 1970! its gonna be quiet there then...Id say most people favour 1970s or even 1980s cars nowadays.

Hasn't that always been the case with Durrow? Pre '70 cars are free in, and post '70 cars pay? Someone makes a lotta money outta that show...

Ah yes,I see that further down in the add now.
You have to pre book and sent a copy of your insurance off as well.
I didnt think there was any problems last year,it was the year before when there was trouble getting out.
    The M7 bypasses Durrow now.
They have also been lucky with the weather for the last 2 years.
You prebook and then it lashes down on the day,no thanks I'm a fair weather enthusiast only:D

Sale was depressing all right. The cleanest cars were the most boring ones! Two Austin A40's which were pretty nice, but grandad material. The 1978 Mini was a low miler & covered in rust treatment, BUT curiously had one rotten A panel (left) & another with signs of filler. Would be a good car potentially, but not at the price asked. There was a BMW saloon, again ruined with a glass sunroof, otherwise clean, and a very clean Ford Capri (Think it was its third time at the sale; I heard it said that it was over 6K last year, 5400 this year.....nice car for someone who'de want one, but a damaged drivers seat is a no no on a €5400 Ford!). The Frogeye Sprite was nice, but no price on it......they make good money but are a bit over-rated in my view. They drive like an MG Midget for half the price. Overall, I have sympathy for sellers who paid too much in the boom, but as a Classic & Vintage enthusiast, I have NEVER considered classics as an investment. They may hold their value & you can have more fun with them than having money on deposit, but when all costs of maintenance, insurance etc are taken into account, only the very rare really increase in value.....

I can see their point though. Theres some dreadful "porridge" attending shows these days.....& much of it not even particularly clean.
