What should I do with my Nuffield 10/60?

So we have a Nuffield 10/60 sitting on our back lawn since my Dad passed away a few years ago. He had it for around 25 years and used it for a bit of hobby farming. He wasn't into the vintage scene at all and it's pretty wrecked. The engine in it is from a Leyland truck - he swapped it over for extra power and I've no idea what happened to the original. It has no documents of any kind. I don't even know what year it is.

Now I'm not interested in selling it at all. It's a reminder of my dad and is priceless to me on that front and we would be able to put it to use if it was roadworthy (brakes are pretty much gone but she still starts and drives with a bit of coaxing). A local man has tried to buy it off us but that's not happening. However I have feck all money to spend on restoring it. I try to keep it dry and it's covered with a tarp. I would join the local vintage club (they're very active) but feel a bit intimidated as I'm a young wan with NO mechanical knowledge at all.

Any tips on what to do to keep it from decaying any further or what to do with it? I know I should just get over myself and join the local club but I'm a scaredycat.

dont be put off by your lack of knowledge , most club members will help you alot. go for it! (being female should be no barrier, might even help!

Join the club at the very least, you will probably find they will have a good interest in the tractor. The fact it starts and drives is a good thing, someone who knows the tractor would be able to sort the brakes pretty easily i would guess. Where are you based, someone on here may be able to help or know someone.

Thanks lads. I'm in Tipp, I know some of the lads in the local club, it's just that they're very blokey and all the meet-ups are held in the pub. I might try meeting up with one of the 'family guys' some weekend daytime.
Ours is just like the one in the photo except it still has some of the original cream paint on the wheels. I think it had a front loader added at some point too, and double rear tyre for working on the bog.

Get this shirt, go to pub....:D

Is the club involved in a parade on St Patrick's Day?, might be a chance to get some advice. Theres a vintage show on in Limerick Junction on Easter Sunday, bound to be a few Nuffields there.
