How strict are they on the car having to be 10 years from date of registration?? I have a Fiat that was registered in October of 2001 and Im looking into scrapping it and getting a new car.

Reason I ask is that this car is off the road. I got an 00 Opel Corsa about 3 months ago thats started having problems too, so it seems like a good idea to get a brand new one.

My dilema is that the Corsa isnt in my name for long enough to qualify but by October the Fiat wont have been insured for nearly a year so it wont qualifiy then either. :mad::mad: (plus they may not be running the scheme then)

Does anyone know how strict they are on this 10 year to the date thing?

Ahhh what a pain!!! :mad: I have 2 ten year old cars and can do nothing with them, dont see anyone buying 2 defective ten year old cars anytime soon!!!!!!
