the ford 3600 runing very poor last week, so i got a fuel filter for put it into today and still running very poor, so i openrd the injectors to see if there was diesel running and there wasnt in the first injector. i followed the rail back to the injector pump and opened that side of it and the diesel was barley running out of it, my question is.... is the pump finished??

Is there an inline or a rotary pump in it?

When you opened the injectors one by one did you notice one that didn't really make a difference?

If it is a rotary pump there is only one pumpin element, so all the cylinders would be down, more likely an injector, swap them around and see if it changes cylinder

Check the joint where the diesel flows out of the tank. It may be blocked with dirt. An airline can be a useful tool to blow out fuel lines. Injector pumps are expensive repairs - especially if they don't need to be done!!!

what is the dpa number on the plate on the pump. it looks like 3230F030. sometimes the f is missing. new pump is cheaper than a repair.

having trouble for last 6 months with pump on crewcab, rang Roscrea Diesel Injection yesterday and told me to drop it down thursday and they will give it back to me running like new between 4-700 euro depending on how much is to be done, gave my garage 600 euro already and still not right, rang this guy told me to get a bottle of cold water pour it an pump when engine is hot and see will it start then, started first turn, his number is 0505-22476. told me he will not ring me until the jeep is running like the day i bought it, just to say this was causing me terrible problems when engine was hot and garages would'nt look at it, 1 garage owner told me to come back when something falls off.
