That was one creepy ass ending. Have often wondered about cathing the energy from a dead person myself. Had many a drunken converstation about it.

Pretty meh episode apart from that. Found myself loosing interest through out it. Am quite intrigued by the laws of physics breaking down tho.

Pretty much what Somuj said, bit of a dull episode but one very creepy ending.

Yeah it didn't seem like anything special until the end.. which was very.. strange. I guess this means they won't be bringing "him" back permanently, since "he" is using the body of a main character, it does present further opportunity to use the character without Nimoy but idk, it's a bit too out there even for Fringe imo. I mean Soul magnets? seriously?

Very mediocre, I thought. I didn't like the ending either. I laughed but not in a good way.

I wish they'd just forget about Nimoy's character. They should never have given such an important role to an actor who (now pushing 80) was obviously never going to be a regular or even a recurrent guest star. But having said that, I suspect we haven't seen the last of him. I'm sure they have plans to lure him back for the finale again.

I'm torn, i honestly think that end really did "jump the shark" for me!...soul magnets?, Olivia is now William Bell?....she needs a losenger or something!

Honestly the croakey voice was a serious rolls eye moment, clearly Anna Torv has no real acting range to EVER pull off trying to capture Nimoy/Bell. I didn't mind the main story with Alan Ruck...but it was very predictable. Some great LOL moments with Walter...stoned, banging Yoko in the 70's, poop jokes etc.

The stunts and wirework was pretty good, i'm just SOOOOOOOOOOOOO over this lovey dovey lets hold hands and kiss crap!

VERY obvious these two will crash and burn by seasons end, the writers will break 'em up...clearly tying in Fauxlivia bambino + Peters state of mind to power and direct the course of the machine.

One thing i did like was Walter discovering further evidence at the laws of physics are breaking down. But the soul crap and bringing back Bell is a cheap/tacky way to bring back a beloved character.....that blind item on tvline makes sense now!!!!!!!!!!

the show is called fringe, as in fringe science, its always been a myestery if a soul does exist and that a body looses 21 grams when it dies, which is believed to be the soul exiting the body, and walter is right (as far as science can prove) that energy cant be made or destroyed just transformed into another type of energy,

the main drawback to the soul theory is that bell died in the other universe so how the hell did his soul transfer back here, was his soul booted out of the other universe cause theres already the other william bells soul floating around,

i thought is was a very good episode, it was a procedural episode, but it also advanced the storyline ahead a bit also, before olivia was taken over by bell she didnt seem to happy that it was peter hunting down the shapeshifters for there memory disks,

also you could see olivia was trying to pry out some info from peter, she knows he still loves altivia, and it seems shes trying to guage him to see if thats changed, which i dont think it has,

Yep, it was fairly dull overall. I didn't mind the science being a bit of a stretch outside of the normal range of Fringe weirdness so long as the explanation is fun, entertaining or interesting. I'm afraid the compounds and the general chase/investigation didn't appeal to me this week. This may be nitpicking, but do parents who go to the ends of the Earth always have to have sick or disabled kids? Although, in a way, perhaps a bit unfair to ask that given the nature of the Peter/Walter relationship.

As for the bit at the end, I've watched the 30 second promo for next week (we all know how deceptive they can be, regardless of the show), um, not wanting to mention details...it's going to work or fall fairly flat. Hope it's the former.

My fav part of the episode really as a huge fan of lost and loving Hurley seeing him with Walter out of the blue was amazing :D

    The two were great together.

I dunno what to think of this whole bell in olivas body thing now guess ill have to see more it could become very cheesy very fast.
