Advance pitstop in tullamore closed??

    was going over the bypass of tullamore and noticed it was closed, is it closed long does anyone know?? i always found them better than any other advance

    The one in Kilkenny closed too, maybe its a nationwide thing.

    the one in dundalk is closed also, must have been losing alot of money.

    6-8 advance pitstop branches have closed in the last 2 years. Things aren't going well for them at the moment....

    Closed christmas eve. Also closed was Killkenny ,dundalk,killarney,new ross,drogheda as far as I know

    No...Christmas eve is when advance closed the branches. Obviously the OP only saw it was closed now.

    Ya thats what I ment they were closed Christmas eve.I was working in Killkenny and we had go in Xmas eve. Some people were lucky and got moved to other branches others were left go. Some depots making money ones that were closed wernt making enough its the times were in unfortunatly

    Are they all owned by the same person. I know the guy that owns the Mallow one is from Macroom but do he own them all???

    I dont know about that now Advance Pitstop is owned by Continental tyres I dont know all the ins and outs of it I just work there:D

    No-one owns any of the advance branches indevidually. They are all the one company. Some(possibly the Mallow one) where bought by advance during the tiger years as going concerns and the original staff/managers etc kept in place but they don't own it.
