Best glue suitable for fixing Hurleys...

    I'm interested in fixing hurleys and was just wondering what people think is the best glue suitable on the market from their own experience??

    to be honest you're wasting your time
    it's almost impossible to get this right
    no matter what glue you use the next grainline in the timber will snap

    but if you are still looking to persist
    your best bet is gorilla glue it dries harder than the timber itself but it can be expensive

    Totally agree with you, my uncle has a timber yard and makes hurleys, your at nothing trying to glue them..

    Sikaflex 221, very strong and flexible I've used it to fix a good few hurls, not all of them lasted but several of them are still going strong. Never as good as they first were but some of them are still better than hurls I bought new.
