Pain after first stage root canal

    Hi all,

    Had very bad tooth ache, pain was a 10 out of 10.

    Got to the dentist on Thursday morning. It was my rear molar, it already had a large filling but root was bad. He done the first stage root canal treatment and put in a temp filling.

    So I was put on anti biotics and ponstan. Felt good on Thursday evening. Yesterday it was ok, mainly just a very dull pain the odd time. Yesterday evening got trobbing pain a few times, was ok when I sat down. This morning I've been in pain mist of the time, going between 2/10 and 6/10.

    Does this sound normal? Will it get better as the infection goes down?
