Medion TV with USB port

    Hi I got a medion tv in aldi recently with a USB port connection.

    However when I connect a portable hard drive via the usb the tv doesn't seem to recognise it?

    Anybody have any ideas/suggestions thanks

    Take it back.

    They don't work on Irish TV anyway.

    What size and file system is the HD.

    Many TV's/dvd players that have USB only support FAT32, some portable driver are formated with NTFS.

    Many TV's/dvd players that have USB only support FAT32, some portable driver are formated with NTFS.
    Also it may be only compatible with small drives, certain brands or just usb keys. It may not provide sufficient power for usb hard drives. Write speed on usb keys is also important for recording. Test it with a smallish usb key first, they tend to be fat32.
