Do you get the percentage or the grade?

    so when you get your junior cert results do you get told what percentage you get, i.e 80% or do you just get told the Grade, i.e A, B, C
    ??

    hm i wonder why... i suppose if you were like 1% off an A you wont be beating yourself up about it :/

    Junior Cert papers are not marked in percentages.
    For example, the History paper is marked out of 180.
    The corrector will put in, say, 155 which would be an A, or 104 which would be a C - percentages never enter into it.

    On your result sheet it will state the subject, the level it was taken at, the grade and any extra information such as you the fact were absent for a component, or got an exemption on some element, spelling etc.. Such grades are marked with a * to indicate a supplemental report exists. the supplemental report will be on the reverse of your result sheet, or on an accompanying page.

    It would be nice to find out how you did though, like if you were far from an A or something.
