Lying on CV

I recently dropped out of college and have been applying for jobs. I go on jobsites everyday and look for jobs(mostly sales assistant retail roles), and have been for months, but I have no work experience at all so have been finding it impossible to even get an interview.
I am hoping to get a summer job before going back to do a plc course in September but I am wondering if I should remove my college information from my CV. I have written that I've been doing the course 2010-present and mention some of the subjects I studied. I don't really have any hobbies and no work experience so my CV is pretty bare and if employers think I've been doing nothing since my Leaving Cert then I'm pretty sure I wont be able to get a summer job.

So my question is should I lie on my CV and pretend I am still in college, and would this give me more of a chance of getting a job or interview? I dont have a reference from college on my CV so I don't think they will check up on it but I dont know if it's a good idea or not.

Why would being college make you more likely to get a job? Look at it from a employers point of view that you will definitely be leaving in Sept while if you have dropped out you could be staying for longer and they dont have to look for a new employee come Sept.

I know its not exactly the same but I got a graduate job and the did a big background check on me making sure that I was lying on my CV by ringing all my old employers and I am pretty sure they would have rang my college as well.
