In relation to peak and off peak timings for Dublin Bus services, whats the clarification on what period these service frequencys are supposed to operate? Iive a rough idea its probably early morning and mid evening, but DB dont list specifics on there website in relation to Network Directs proposals?

    7-10
    16-19

Is what I would define it as, whether DB do is another question though..

There is no set specification of peak and non-peak. Basically Dublin Bus Network reviewers draw up schedules based on number of drivers/buses. Peak periods will generally have more drivers/buses available with Euro extras and relief duties, but it can vary widely how many buses/drivers this mean.

A number of routes that have been done thus far, looking only at the outbound evening peak period:

17a: Peak frequency 10mins (only exists between 1640 and 1720)

25A/B: Peak frequencies of 10mins each (only exists between 1622-1832)

    37: Peak frequency of 10mins (1655 and 1815)

    38/A: Peak frequency of 10mins (1610 to 1810)

    39: Peak frequency 15mins (between 1702 to 1832)

70: Peak frequency of 20mins (only between 1650 to 1830)

So if the route is been quoted with daytime and peak differently, you're talking 2 hours or less generally around 5pm. However it should be noted that all of the routes above except the 17a have had a long standing Euro (peak extra bus) presence prior to Network Review. The 17a did not, and this could be seen as one of the principle reasons that it has a much shorter peak frequency.

Hence given much of the later network stage routes have less amount of the these Euro extras it could well be envisaged that the times noted above are on the large size and that we should be expected an hour max at the peak frequency.
