Anyhow we have one of the most talented yoga teachers who come to Ireland teaching a 6 day yoga retreat at the Burren Yoga and Meditation Centre which is on the west coast of Ireland at the foot of the Burren hills on the Galway Clare border.

If you search for "Burren Yoga" i am sure you will find the URL yourself.

His name is David Muehsam and he has a written authorisation from Pattabhi Jois to teach ashtanga yoga. But David went on and did further training with the Iyengar Yoga Institute in New York, and also has immersed himself in Satyananda yoga practices.

Part of David's philosophy is that a yoga teacher does not have in their head what they will teach to the student. before the student walks in the door. So for the first couple of days, David teaches a form of flowing yoga, with pranayama, meditation.

The course is suitable for complete beginners to regular yoga practitioners, and there is no comparison made between people.

After the second day, he goes around to each course participant and makes adjustments, gives advice, and makes recommendations on what would be best for them at their own particular stage along the yoga path (both physically and mentally).

And after 4 days each person has developed a practice 'designed for themselves' which they can take home after the course.

We have organised outdoor activities each day, walks in the Burren hills and by the sea, amazing vegetarian food by Paddi the chef who used to run Seventh Heaven restaurant in Galway city for over 12 years.

You can contact me at dave@burrenyoga.com if you would like any further information.

    Best Wishes,
    Dave
