Beauty therapy/reflexology - getting started with 1st job

    Hi all,

    I am a full time beauty therapy/Reflexology student about to sit finals over the next 2 months in Galway. Im wondering can anyone tell me what the industry is like at the moment for those trying to get their foot in the door of a salon. Im studying ITEC/CIBTAC and CIDESCO. Im a mature student with an honours degree in Science as well and I have plenty of past sales experience too.

    What are my chances and where do I begin?
    Do I just call into salons with my CV in the hope that they are hiring?

    Anyone from the industry have any tips and advice for me?
    I am so eager to get out there and get started so any help would be greatly appreciated.
