I read yesterday that Aidan O'Brien told a hearing being held by An Bord Pleanala into the building of a €460 million sports and leisure complex that the Breeders Cup could be held there if the plan was given the go-ahead.

After reading this, I had to check the calendar to make sure it wasn't April 1st already......

Do you have a link for this??

One way of thinking would be, if it truly was the 'World Championships' surely the location could be moved year to year??

There was a report about it on Prime Time last night. I'm sure it can be found on RTE player (though the report mainly focused on Michael Lowry's support for the development).

There isn't a hope in hell that the Americans would allow the Breeders' Cup to be held in Europe. The fact that most Americans don't even have a passport is proof of their insularity. They barely even make the effort to travel for the richest race in the world, the Dubai World Cup, let alone upping sticks and travelling to Two-Mile Borris to hold their Breeders' Cup meeting. It's ridiculous.

I resisted a big dirty chicken fillet roll with lucozade and tayto after going to the gym, trying to be fit.

I can't see the Yanks coming over either. After all they're the greatest nationality in the world, why should they have to travel?

Read some comments on Youtube the other day that made me mad. Stupid Americans, were mad that Sea the Stars didn't go to the Breeders' Cup,that they felt 'robbed'.

Coming over to the Arc so ye thickos.
