Paypal recommend removal spyware

Hey guys Paypal have stated that I may have spyware on my pc as my account was used last week. Everything has been sorted but they recommend I use a spyware remover etc. I only have Microsoft security essentials on my laptop . What should I use to sort this out? What applications do people recommend ? Thanks in advance
