Lamping Mink?

myself and the father were out tryin to call a fox tonight with no luck, but as we were heading back in the lane we stopped up to shine across the field and i spot this pair of eyes about 300 yards off, so we hopped out of the van and shone the lamp over the field again, and here's this pair of eyes bobbing along the ditch coming towards us. they stop about 100 yards away and i can clearly see that it's a mink so i put the crosshair on him and fire. i hear the thump and he falls over, but he starts rolling around so i must have only clipped him. long story short he gets up into the ditch and we can't find him:mad:, but by the sound of the thump he got enough of a slap to die pretty soon, so at least thats one less mink around the place. first time i ever shot a mink too

We got two last summer playing in a field beside a small stream, definately mink as we got the tails!!:D

i lamped 1 last year along plantin lying on a big rock bout 80 yards away but couldnt take a shot, tried a squeek but never budged!
