    Hi,

I'm looking for some insight into the 2 biology summer papers: Zoology/Microbiology and Biochemistry/Botany. I've looked at previous exam papers but I can't seem to find any guidelines on answering the questions.

How much is expected in an answer? Is there any format to the essays that examiners like to see?

Any advice would be much appreciated!

They say 3-4 pages but the questions are fairly broad. You'd probably get away with 1 if you had most of the main points in it.

One with paragraphs. You're doing science not English,so they're looking for a knowledge of Biology the structure shouldn't really matter too much,as long as the essay makes sense.

I pretty much bullet pointed everything under a relevant heading and got all the marks required.

I went to all of those boring labs and did all the bitch work but my attendance at lectures was virtually 0 for the year.

Really its easy to pass with aid of the marks from the labs.
