Internet problems with Windows 7!

I'm having internet connection issues on Windows 7 ultimate
Every so often i lose internet (but not local network) connection on my PC
I have confirmed it's not my broadband as my Laptop& Xbox360 are still connecting to the internet when this happens
The network icon in the taskbar gets a nice yellow triangle

It seems to me that this must be a Windows issue as judging by my google search results i'm not the only one having this issue.

Anyone else here havin the same issue or find a fix that works?

    Thanks

Does this happen only when you first connect to your network or does the triangle appear some time after you have connected and the internet has been working? Try right clicking on the icon with the yellow triangle and click 'status' (or something similar, I don't have windows 7). There should also be a 'repair' option, see if that works (at least temporarily). Also, see if there's a 'diagnostics' option. Post back with any error messages you can find.

its actually a known bug in win 7 and vista

i get it alot too.......... microsofties have yet to figure out why it happens

but installing sp1 does reduce the frequency of which it happens

Similar problem here. Currently on an XP laptop which has no connection problems, however our new HP desktop (Windows 7) is a nightmare to use online. It connects when you turn it on however after a few minutes it will slow to a crawl then lose the connection (sometimes the wifi connection, sometimes the internet connection), this happens repeatedly regardless if the laptop is connected or not.

Is there anything I can do to fix it? Its a nightmare!!! It is connected to an eircom () router via a usb adapter.
