one room warrant

    Is there such a thing a search warrant for only one room in a house or are whole premises search warrants. thanks

    I would say it's for whole house/apartment depending if your just renting room, but normally it's for the whole house, can you give more details on what the warrent was for ie house/apartment/

    They need a warrant to enter the premises to search.
    Assuming its for one room only, they can't get to that room without entering the premises, so they would need a full warrant to enter the premises anyway.
    Have never heard of a single room warrant, only in large accomodation where theres about 5 or 6 rooms.

    You can get a one room warrant. Obviously they'd have to walk through other parts of the house to get to the room but they can't search through it.
