rte digital no longer availabe

    hi there

    i bought myself a panasonicl 37 inch plasma in the north of ireland last july , i noticed recently that rte digital is no longer available , all i have are various digital radio stations + a no video blank screen of rte tv , thier is a message which states that rte digital is only available on saorview compatible tv,s , i realise this is something to do with uk tv,s being different to irish models but could someone tell me when this change came about , i usually watch rte on my sky subscription but since it was available ( for a time ) through my aerial , i had thought about cancelling sky

    The stickie at the very top might be helpful. Basically, if you bought it in the north it was likely intended for UK Freeview which uses Mpeg 2 encoding. Ireland uses
    Mpeg 4.
