Snoop was pretty much playing herself in the programme.

Life imitating art and all that. Yer man that played Marlo Stanfield was in a bit of bother a while back too:http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/celebritynews/5819275/Baby-shower-for-The-Wire-actor-Jamie-Hector-ends-in-deadly-gun-battle.html

In the first few episodes that she was in I thought it was a fella. Was definitely one of ht best characters in it though

I was certain she was a dude. For an embarrasing length of time.

Now that you mention it, I may have thought it was a fella for a considerable bit longer than a 'few' episodes :D

Didnt one of the Sopranos actors the guy who played "Larry Boy Barese" receive 33 months back in February for loan sharking & extortion aswell?

Life certainly dose seem to be imitating art at the moment.

Took me ages to find it out too, someone mentioned "who's she?" or something like that and I had to go check it out then, the hair, the voice, the clothes, the murdering, I think its easy to see why we guessed it was a he.

    I'm not alone so
