    hi, we're doing a first year college project on VAWT's and the second part of it is to state three suitable materials and their advantages and disadvantages.
    i cant find much info online and theres nothing in the library on VAWTs only HAWTs.
    so any info or links ye could offer me would be a great help.

    They are generally seen as fundamentally flawed by their design but IMO there are certain applications where a VAWT will suit (turbulence), some companies have persisted with their design, might be worth your while contacting the likes of Vertical wind, quiet revolution or SEAB energy.
