How do you see yourself in the world ?

Albert Einstein once said, "the single most important decision any of us will ever have to make is whether or not to believe that the universe is friendly."

What do you believe ? Is this a dog-eat-dog world where unless you exercise extreme caution and control you might lose it all around the next corner ?
Or, do you believe that even if the world has its share of tragedy, selfishness, stupidity, and mystery, that beneath it all is a loving force faithfully moving us towards greater awareness, compassion and purpose ?

Once there's a steady supply of beer, food and fanny then I'm happy.

I annoy people through the internet, and they can't get me for it. This makes me king of everything.

Well I believe you make your own happiness and that you have to believe things will work out. So far it has *knocks on wood*

Said wood gives Biko a splinter.:pac:

I go through days where I think the world is a bitch and getting crapper. Other days, I'm neutral and don't asign it any human qualities.

You just float through life waiting for the inevitable outcome that is death.

Life doesn't have emotions. Its just life. I'd say though at the end when you look back you'd find alot of coincidences.

Uugh, this is too deep for a thursday.

Nothing in life is free and nothing that's worth having is easy to obtain. Despite needing 100 lifetimes to do everything I'd ever want to do, I only have one. Therefore as much as can be crammed into 1 lifetime will be crammed into mine because that's what I want most of all.

Meh, I'm still waiting for that back-slap from others congratulating me on winning the race against my sperm brothers where my prize was being born.

The things I have to do to get respect around here.....

I'm just enjoying the experience of living, and seeing where it takes me. I'm largely optimistic, I think most people are generally good at he core of it all if not a little misguided sometimes. It's only a small minority of people who do anything with genuinely malicious (rather than selfish) intent.

I think to a large extent, everyone is the master of their own reality. You can be a nice person or a cnut, but at the end of the day it doesnt really matter.

i generally dont seek to define myself. i just try to get on with people i get to know. anyone i dont get on with, i just dont deal with'em. dont like hassle so dont go out and get meself involved in it...

...grand scheme of things then? well theres a whole lotta something out there i know absolutely nothing about. if it doesnt come my way i'll carry on not knowing about it. no odds to me.

we are living in a very special time, one where galaxies, stars, planets and life can actually form and exist, this has not been the case for the majority of the lifetime of the universe nor will it be the case in the distant future.
