Kontrol X1 Update?

    So I've been thinking about buying a Kontrol X1, but I want to check with ye all to see if there is going to be a new unit to replace this anytime soon? Rather than purchasing now, and something new come along with Traktor 2!:rolleyes:

    I think it covers all my requirements, been as the laptop isnt a big part of my set up right now, but I want a little control over it instead of using the keyboard all the time!

    Any thoughts or opinions welcome!:)

    It dosent look like a new x1 is coming out.

    NI are just going to release a new mapping instead.

    However, I could be wrong.

    Thanks for that, Just bought Traktor Scratch a few weeks ago before Traktor 2 was heard of. Dont wanna get caught twice!:o

    The truth is, no body knows!

    There is talk of a native mapping coming with traktor pro 2 to access the features of the sample decks.

    I'd imagine the effects knobs and on/off buttons will work as the play buttons and the volume knobs of the sample decks.

    Could they not just suggest people buy another X1 to control the sample decks?

    Sounds to me it'll end up a bit like using the light switch to flush the toilets if they create a new mapping like what you've suggested. No offence to yourself it just sounds a bit mad?!

    Well I have 2 x1's

    I plan on using 3 decks and one set of same decks, so the way I imagine the mapping workin in my head makes perfect sense to me at least.

    I honestly can't see why they'd need to make a 'new' x1, what more could they possibly add?
